Lansdowne Infant Academy wins National Pupil Engagement Award
Awarded by Edurio, the accolade recognises the 10 top-scoring schools nationally for pupils' answers to: "How interesting do you find your lessons?"
Lansdowne Infant Academy, part of Affinity Learning Partnership, has been named a winner of the National Pupil Engagement Award, celebrating schools where pupils find their learning genuinely interesting.
The award is based on Edurio's national analysis of pupil feedback, identifying the top 10 primary schools in England for the question: "How interesting do you find your lessons?" The recognition highlights engaging teaching, a well-designed curriculum and a love of learning at Lansdowne Infant Academy.
Jane Casey, Headteacher, said:
"We are incredibly proud to have been recognised nationally with the Edurio Pupil Engagement Award. This award is a wonderful reflection of our children’s voices and the positive culture we work hard to create at Lansdowne. We want every child to feel listened to, valued and excited to come to school.
It is a real achievement for our whole school community and something that our children, staff and families can be very proud of."
Ernest Jenavs, CEO at Edurio, said:
"Congratulations to the winners of the National Pupil Engagement Award. Our research shows that pupils' interest in learning tends to fall as they move through school. Staff in these schools have kept pupils curious about what they learn, and that makes a very big difference to how much pupils get out of their time at school."
